When ever I export an adventure all the stylesheet information is ignored.
For instance...
When using the Dundjinni 1 Stylesheet for export, the Room Read Aloud section is supposed to be define as:
div.room_read_aloud {
background-color=rgb(200,200,240);
padding-bottom=4;
border-left-width=1;
padding-right=4;
border-right-width=1;
border-top-width=1;
border-color=black;
border-bottom-width=1;
padding-left=4;
border-style=solid;
padding-top=4;
}
This shows up in the header portion of the file, but in the first room section when it gets to the read aloud section, the HTML looks like this:
<div class="room_read_aloud"><span style="font-family: AIGDT; color: rgb(0,0,0); font-size: 11pt; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; ">As you approach the gateway...
It is this part that throws everything off:
<span style="font-family: AIGDT; color: rgb(0,0,0); font-size: 11pt; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; ">
This is embedded everywhere. Where does it come from? I can't get rid of it.
Anyone?

That's a question for Mondo and/or GTech

I am on the job.
RangerJim,
This is not a stylesheet or DJ Bug, it is intentional.
I suspect that you are attempting to modify the dundjinni1.css file to force DJ to export specific fonts for the adventure text blocks (room_read_aloud text, etc.).
Sorry, but this will not work.
You must use the DJ text editor dialog (the various areas where you enter your adventure text) to modify any adventure text block formatting.
The several entries that you see like this one:
<span style="font-family: (); color: rgb(0,0,0); font-size: (); font-weight: (); font-style: (); text-decoration: (); "> </span>
are code entries generated by DJ through the text editor dialog allowing DJ to manage multiple (user selected) fonts inside the same text block.
These cannot be modified to give you a different result prior to the HTML export. Doing so would override the user selected fonts. Not a good thing.
That said, DJ is not a full blown text editor (that's a little outside of it's scope), so you will also find that the text editor dialog formatting options are rather limited.
The HTML export is intended to be just very basic HTML.
It allows for users like yourself to export the HTML adventure "base" and modify it from there.
In order to modify the text formatting, you will need to export the basic HTML from DJ, then modify it either long hand or with an HTML editting application.
I know that this is by no means an optimal setup, but we do have plans to better handle user modifications to the adventure output in the future.
You will also get far better (and more stable) results using the Talismyr stylesheet, rather than the Dunjinni 1 stylesheet.
Stay tooned and hang in there.
Thanks,
GTech

Thanks for the response.
1) I am using the default Dundjinni 1 Stylesheet and shouldn't the Read Aloud Text have a different background color and a boarder around it? Mine does not. Here is a pic of it:
2) Is the Talismyr stylesheet fixed? I tried it when it first came out and that started the whole thread on the problems with it.
Thanks,

Yes it should, the Legacy stylesheet should also do this.
Currently, I don't believe that either of them handle this properly.
There are many errors present in both the Dundjinni 1 and Legacy stylesheets.
MDono and I have not focused any of our efforts on fixing them.
We haven't received clearance yet, but we should have it soon. However, there are no guarantees yet.
The Talismyr stylesheet has many fixes that neither of the other two sheets have. It's also far more stable and I have QA cleared it.

Yes, it is fixed.
The newest version (Talismyr_DJ_20061008.zip) is currently posted on MDono's site.
I have QA cleared it and it is scheduled for inclusion in the next DJ patch.
If you would like to get it early, here's a link to MDono's site:

It will solve many of the problems that you are having.
Thanks,
GTech
