Did a search, but did not get any results. Basically, I'd like to make my grid Horizontal instead of Vertical so that I get 10" across and 8" down. Can this be done? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums Wykyd! 
I believe you mean "Landscape" style. 
Currently, no, you can't modify the map canvas to switch to landscape mapping.
However, you can change your print options to print your maps to landscape though.
