I thought it would be a good idea to identify everything newbies (such as myself) should avoid when mapping.
Perhaps giving visual examples would really help newcomers (after/before).
This would allow new mappers to avoid making mistakes such as repetitiveness, contrast between floors and so on.
I will post some examples soon, I encourage all of you do to the same thing! What you've learned from your mistakes.

Hmm, I think making "mistakes" will let you learn an application a lot better and often quicker. I would prefer to give tips, so everyone can see different, new and other ways of doing things in DJ.
I will also never call something a mistake, since it could very well have been done on purpose ... Who are we to call something a mistake ...
So perhaps we instead post tips on things we have found people often do and might look better doing another way.
The first ones that come to mind are rotating items and activating wall shadows and raising walls.

Things to avoid:
- The pick list.
- Really large trees.
- Benwax.
- Forgetting to rotate items.
- Forgetting to raise walls.
- Forgetting to BACK UP ALL FILES. Constantly!
- Forgetting to praise Kepli... otherwise, no soup for you. (No wonder I was hungry yesterday...)
- Vines. They're just plain horrible, man!
