Excessive?!?! Me?!?!

This from the guy who posts hundreds of Kepli-fied objects every year?

I'm in good company.

To get back on track:

I am a laser graphics designer for a successful trophy shop near the Seattle area in Washington State. I have been doing this for about 9 years now, and I still love coming to my job every day.

btw: being "Keplified" sounds painful!

To tell the truth, I work a lot and never make some money...

But I love it.

By the way, I am back, after a short burst of activity here, and a long, long time without coming back.

HI everyone!

I do business valuation. We figure out what businesses, business assets and private company securities like stock and options are worth.

D&D helps me use the other side of my brain and I think makes me better at finance as a result.

Congrats MR. Does this mean you're going to college, university or somewhere in between? I've never heard of post-matric...

I've made a few posts, but I haven't actually introduced myself. So here's the opportunity, right?

I'm a mechanical engineer at one of the USA's national laboratories sponsored by the Department of Energy, specifically Argonne National Laboratory. Most of my job is engineering analysis using various simulation software. Fun stuff! No, really. It's fun.

I've been playing RPGs for about 22 years now. I am currently running a GURPS campaign in a fantasy setting but using horror elements.

I'm mostly a glorified cpu analyst. I also do a few other things as well. At the moment I'm in pre-production of a movie. I'm also VERY active .... here's a link to my personal website: www.gstg.info

Love this site, even though I'm new to it. I was a big DnD player 20 years ago and just starting to get back into it, so it's being a blast.

...Yeah, sorry, keep forgetting you all have different names! We have junior school (7 years) then high school (5 years) and the last year of high school is called "matric".

A post-matric is usually an extra year of schooling (generally taken either because you flopped matric, or because you want to play rugby - neither in my case). My year is kinda different though: no actual learning school, but leadership courses and stock exchange and financial management and horse-riding and abseiling and sky-diving and...

Basically a year of fun and personal development!

Ursus: sounds like a cool job to me.I think some of us would love to hear what you think about GURPS the way you play it

GSTG: wow, you really do believe in living life to its fullest ... nice family too

MR: like I said, enjoy it while you can. Looks like GSTG will agree with me on that

Might as well introduce myself.

I am a Consultant Ecologist. Which basically means I stop the nasty developers from destroying wildife, and make sure it is protected and their habitats are enhanced (I apologise if any of you are nasty developers). It is a very fulfilling occupation which is very rewarding. It is also nice to get paid for something you also enjoy.

I have recently started playing RPGs again and now running my own campaigns.

GURPS the way I play it? Well, I wanted to do something a little different than the typical fantasy campaign. Several years ago, I was a player in a Call of Cthulhu game, and I loved it. So, what I'm doing now is starting a fantasy game as normal, but I'm slowly adding bits of horror to the mix. I think at some point it will be more horror than fantasy.

Resources that have helped me: the works of H. P. Lovecraft (best horror author ever IMO), GURPS Spirits, GURPS Horror, as well as the more up to date rules in the 4e GURPS Campaigns book.
