I was playing around with making top-down perspective snowfall. I don't think I've got it down yet, and I'm not sure about the tiling properties, but I thought I'd share where I'm at.
You probably won't be able to see the pngs (white snow), so I laid them over one of Hylas's buildings for contrast.

I like it ... You took a very difficult concept and made an excellent representation of it Pedrov

Thanks! This is a three-layer version with each subsequent layer using a slightly smaller brush and slightly more gaussian blur. Not sure how to use it in DJ though.
I don't have DJ myself, so it would be great if someone could try it in a map to see if it tiles okay... if not, I can probably fix it.

I like the first PNG. The other one is too sharp and well-defined.
Nice job.

I agree. I figured I'd include both in case someone had a need for a closer camera shot (e.g., maybe to show ashes or fallout rather than snow). I also think the additional layer helps the snow stand out on rougher textures like the grasses below.
demos on grass:
2 layers
3 layers

Great work!
The second version on the grass looks like white flowers, I like it!
The problem with these objects is that they wouldn't be visible on a snow floor...

I made versions that tile:
P.S. Could you please post the sharp layer on it's own for flowers?
