Hmm, that archive was only the Mount piece and because it's 1.5MB I had to put the zip-file somewhere else. I will find another place for it.

OK, here's a try to reanimate the archives. I think it's an essential thing and so I've put all postet images of November 2008 in one archive.
It's a complete collection of all images in new posts from November (in old threads, too). The leading forum-specific numbers were removed, all PGNs crunched (Lossless compression with PNGGountlet which saved ~12% of space) and put into an initial flat order inspired by the thread names. (Everyone can reorder it into his collection.)
And here is the link:
Forum Archive on Drop.io (10MB)
I would like to publish one collection per Month. I cannot promise that I have enough time for this but I will try hard.
Drop me a line if you read this, so I know that this thread is read. Otherwise I will repost it in a new thread...

A noble effort, sendorian.
Is Cecil no longer collecting archives?
Are you including images in your collection that have been tagged for non-commercial use only? If so, are they identified as such?

I don't know, but Cecil hasn't postet anything for some time as far as I can see and the last archive on gmsapprentice.com is of May 2008.
I'm currently working on an archive closing the gap between this last archive and mine.
Thanks for the commecial-point heruca. I actual forgot to watch out after this. If so, this is indicated in the thread name (NC), isn't it? Graytales Nook-anouncements are not added anyway, they can be downloaded on his site.
I have checked the used threads and there is nowhere (Title or Text) a notice for non-commercial use. So the November-Archive should be OK for commercial use.
I will use a style compatible to Cecil's archives. So the archives will only contain images that are allowed for commercial use. But if I think it is usefull I will make a non-commercial-archive for that month, so anyone can decide which one to download. (I would take the second one )
Note: I did not want to replace Cecil's great work. I thought I fill this gap until Cecil has time again and we could do this together or so...

I've updated the November-Archive with some images forgotten because they were in "December"-Threads. If one has already downloaded the archive it has to be downloaded again, sorry.
I've opened a thread for this topic because it gets more and more... It can be found here

On page 1 of this thread there is a broken link. Namely, this one:
"17 December 2004 - 1 Januari 2005 part 3"
http://filexoom.com/files/15056/Dundjinni/17Dec2004-1Jan2005 part3.zip
Unlike the rest of the files, this was hosted on Filexoom, instead of uploaded to the forum directly. Unfortunately, hardly any free file hosts keep uploaded files around forever. And I've especially had trouble with Filexoom before where various files are suddenly gone. (Only free file host I found that promises to keep files is host-a.net and that only provides about 40 MB of total storage.)
Anyway, can somebody please reupload this file? Pretty please?

Hi bsperan, welcome to the forums!
I Will look for the archive today evening when I am at home. If nobody finds it, there is another way: I'm actually writing a program to download the images for a given time period from the forums. (I'm lazy and didn't want to download the monthly archives manually for the next x years. )
When it's finished I can test it with the mentioned period.
I use Drop.io as file host, because it's fast and customizable and - that's the clue - they keep the files up to "1 year from last view of the drop". I am admin of the drops and receice an email if one drop is about to expire. Then I can "touch" the drop and it's saved for another year.
