Ok,
I have survived installation and even installation of Darkness campaign pack...
I am now working at my first map; a map of the area around Debrecen for a game I own saddled by a pityful map... now I am doing hills... still unsure about right textures, anyone one has some ideas/samples of hills done in small scale (campaigna maps and top down view)? And how to do large forests?

Two possible ways to draw hills are using shadows or using light and dark textures.
Shadows can be found using the search function with words (in the body, not subject) like: hill, overlay, cliff, fallaise, depression, hole, etc.
