I seem to remember that someone was looking for an eagle statue. This one was done very quickly, using the same Genetica Ink Vein texture I used on a horse recently.

I've got plans to do more Eagle stuff, but I've got to get my buggy computer fixed before I do any large-scale projects.

Added an Octopus. I like free models! Same texture as above, tried using adding a white inner glow as well.

Cool. Is that the Eagle from Daz that we recently got in our updated pack? I got them all downloaded, but haven't installed them yet. There was some I had, but a lot of new ones I didn't. The Eagle was one I was glad to see. Here's some mods.

Eagle Mod zip (1.8MB)

JPG samples - don't download

Yup. All the models were from the DAZ giveaway for being a Platinum Club Member. Aegean, these were free for members in the PC club. Great mods DW and Bogie!

Oh, pedrov, one thing I forgot to mention was that your originals were at 72 dpi. The mods I did are at 200 dpi.

I'm sure the answer is out there, but how much is 200 dpi helping for printing DJ stuff (I don't have DJ myself)? I don't mind switching as I make stuff, I just don't know if it's necessary.

I think the dpi setting of the art is irrelevant. Only the pixel dimensions
matter.

Heruca's right, but we have set a default dpi for DJ just to have a default for people making DJ art. If we started to explain the difference between dpi/ppi/scale/dimensions/etc, we would just confuse everyone. So we just like everyone to create their art at 200dpi ... and we hope that lessens the confusing overall

So, I'm still a bit confused. As I create art, I can basically ignore dpi for DJ purposes? Or does 72 dpi not work and I should be using 200 dpi? I'm sure that everything I've created up to this point has been 72 dpi.

I refer to DPI when I really mean PPI(pixels per inch) alot of the time since . In DJ, each square is 200 x 200 pixels in size. For object sizing that square is 5ft. x 5ft. As long as you create your art to fit that scale, it will look fine in DJ and in VTTs. For someone printing it out though, 72dpi vs. 200 dpi is an output quality difference. There's some discussion in this thread on it

72dpi works fine Pedrov, but we created a standard of 200dpi for DJ art to have a standard

Also, the higher the pixel rate, the easier it is to scale items inside DJ. DJ isn't very hospitable when you scale things--they tend to pixelate fast (usually because they're lowwer-DPI images). So, when I'm on the ball and remember such things, I try to do my stuff at 300dpi, which usually means they can be scaled up to 130% without looking like pixelized crap.

I agree, this is the best one!

Perhaps with a long trailing tail? That's the way I've always invisioned them. Shrug.

Dragonlady,

The pose I used was a landing pose, so the tail was tucked underneath. How about this?
