Hi all
I am new to the forum and new to map making; in fact I haven't bought a mapping programme yet; still looking...

I am very intriqued by DJ and its easy-to-get-working design of DJ though. I want to make maps from down to small areas maps to large scale continent type maps. I am not sure that DJ can handle the latter, large scale continent type maps and my questions is if any of you have experience with that?

Thanks in advance,
/NC

Welcome to Dundjinni. I think you'll like what you see.

Dundjinni specializes in maps at a 1 square = 5 feet scale. Most of the fabulous artwork you see in the forums is at that scale.

But Dundjinni could actually be used at any scale you want, as long as you have the proper artwork.

Some people have done artwork for continents and oceans. Other have done 'campaign' artwork at 1:200. Another group of people have artwork at 1:30 scale.

I hope this helps you make a decision. The search function is a great help. Also check out the artpacks at the store. Darkness has a free campaing artpack that you might like.

Good luck.

Dear dDA
Thanks for the prompt feedback. I will probably go for fre style drawings for the large maps (or CC) and for everthing smaller I'm inlcinied towards DJ.

Tnx again.

You'll find there are a number of people who do that also. Not to put DJ down, but there are some nice campaign-style mappers out there. Their downside is that they don't have DJ's simple interface.

Happy mapping and hope to see your maps in the forums.
