I finally broke down and joined the platinum club. I didn't realize until after I joined, that membership includes some bonus material. With my membership I got V3, M3, the morphing fantasy dress for V3, the fantasy clothing set for M3, hooded cloak for M3, and expansion packs for the morphing fantasy dress.
I have enough stuff now to do some basic top down figures using some of the freebies I found.

I've seen a lot of great stuff (clothing mainly) on the DAZ site, but it's for M1, not M3. For instance, Michael's Changing Fantasy Suit won't work with M3.
I haven't seen fantasy genre clothing for M3 other than the tunic and the cloak. Am I missing something?
BTW, I've been playing around with D|S a lot, but I haven't made anything worth rendering yet.
Hopefully, I'll post a render soon.

This is the Daz collection of clothes for the m3
Daz M3 Clothes
The also do M3 clothes on Renderosity
Renderosity M3 Clothes
And something like Wardrobe Wizard or Crossdresser can convert the clothes from one figure to another, a word of warning though, it doesnt always work.

Having issues recently - the display driver keeps crashing and I can't do much more than load one character. Any ideas?
Ah ha. nevermind. It's a known issue with Vista. Yet another program that Vista can't run right. If it wasn't so much of a pain in the ass (besides the fact that I don't really know how to do it), I'd partition my hard drive and run XP on half.

Digger is right. You can find lots more M3 clothing. Also, the tunic and cloak are really bases... there is a lot of stuff out there, including free stuff, to transform them into different fantasy (or sci-fi, or realistic) styles.

Also try adding your own textures to the clothes you already have.

Is there a tutorial for this? I can make textures, but how do I make a texture that fits to a specific object?

I load in the jpeg of the clothes and alter it by hand, then save it under a different name, then alter the loading file with wordpad so it points to my new clothes and save it under a different name.
