In the art contest can I post 1 piece then just add a few more before the end of the competition to make it up to 6?

I'd like to make a suggestion: Keep the Map Contest as is, but change the Art Contest to once every month, and give a $10 or $15 prize instead of $25. It takes people not very long to make a cool piece, but maps (at least in my experience) take forever to look good. It also encourages MORE art, rather than huge, intricate art, which is I think where we are in the Dunjinni community's development.

It actually often takes me longer to create a good art piece than a good DJ map
We have tried art contests for a month before and it turned out that it is not the time people need to create an item, but the time they actually availbale have to create an item. If we are awarding real prizes, we need to have lots of participants to make it a real contest. Monthly contests have often had less than 5 participants. Doesn't mean we will stick to 2 months when it turns out a lot of people start participating

Really? For me, when I make a map, all the pieces have to look like they belong together, so half my time is spent in Photoshop editing art pieces, messing with the color balance, adding rust, correct shadow size/depth, etc.
Just making a base image is much quicker.
But I see your point. I guess I've been spoiled lately with Digger (bless him) coming on and posting 99999 different pieces a week haha.

Actually, I don't mind any of that. The biggest problems I have with DJ is that the resizing or rotating of images causes pixelation, and the lack of control over what it is you're clicking on. That's it man. Fix those, I'm buying DJ2.
